I finished level 1 on my 12 week HIIT program continuing to use a stair climber for 2/3 of the duration (10 minutes) and doing squats for the last 1/3 (5 minutes). For details regarding HIIT and the plan I am using, you can look here: HikingGeek’s 12 Week HIIT Program.
I completed 2 workouts this week. On the Stairmaster, I used Level 12 for the high-intensity periods and Level 1 for the low-intensity. For the squats, I used a backpack with weight added, usually performing ~8 squats during each 15 second high-intensity period.
Even with the added weight for the squats, I feel like this week was easier than last week.
Here’s a timelapse of this week’s workouts. At the end of my 3rd workout, I took footage of myself completing some exercises for my right bicep – 8 weeks post-op I am able to start very light resistance training and no longer have to wear the split.
